Niepoort 10 Year Old, Tawny Port Wine Colares Ripe fruit like pineapple and91 points Robert Parker A benchmark 10 Year Old Tawny from Niepoort, deep tawny in colour after long ageing in old oak casks in Vila Nova de Gaia. Aromas of dried apricot and candied tangerine peel meet a distinctive nutty character, while the palate is full bodied and generous, with sweet dried fruit flavours and a long, lingering finish. Lovely with chocolate based desserts and cheeses, or served lightly chilled as an aperitif. Serve at around 12C.
